- Hello and Welcome to the Bear Mountain Inn. Our family bought this spectacular lake front, four season, property and buisness in May of 2008. When we saw the 25 acre, 550 ft of of lake front property that was situated on a very quiet and beautiful lake, we thought it was a piece of heaven. After 15 years, managing hi-tech sales teams across the country and across the globe, we were looking for a lifestyle that didn't require living on an airplane and in the airports. My parent's also bought a B&B in Maine, 15 years ago, and I loved the lifestyle that they had running their B&B. So now we have a beautiful ocean front B&B (www.billowhouse.com) and our spectacular lakefront B&B in our family. We look forward to hosting you here and hopefully you will find a little piece of heaven during your stay.
I'm not there yet and I know I'll have a good time. As a 12 year old in 1964 I played on the porch of this house with the kids who lived here.
ReplyDeleteMy parents moved to Virginia in 1967 and I've been here since. Both my parents have since passed and I'm approaching 60 this year. We owned a house up on Blackguard Hill in South Waterford.It was haunted by the previous owners and a few others too. I will be giving a book on that haunting to the Owners of Bear Mtn. Inn. Ask them for it, to read if you stay here.
The area is a beautiful area with some great lakes right in South Waterford. There was a Carding mill from the 1850's located there that was moved to OLD STURBRIDGE Village in the 60's
If you get a chance and you're in Mass. please visit there. What ever you do in South Waterford RELAX and have fun !!!!
